Conbee2 | Firmware: not connected v2.14.01, bullseye

Today I changed my Rasp 4b to Bullseye and SSD.
My Conbee2 / Phoscon App was working fine with buster.
Now, in Bullseye it is always intermittend disconnected.
Conbee 2 connected via long USB cable like before. I tried USB 2 and USB 3 port…
The SSD I tried in USB 2 and USB3 port. Same problem.
As well I increased the distance between Raspberry 4b and SSD drive.

here my log file:
https://filedn.eu/ltDsxVcbbqskEc97m5byXdR/deCONZ-error.log

Hello, on next log, avoid “http” ^^, too much talkative

16:42:14:123 Serial com disconnected, reason: 1
16:42:14:126 device disconnected reason: 1, device index: 0
16:42:14:203 void zmMaster::handleStateIdle(zmMaster::MasterEvent) not connected goto OFF state

BTW you have not updated the conbee firwmare ? Power supply issue ?
It’s a new installation or an update ?

Looks like a power issue.

I´m using a 35W, 5V power supply for SSD and Rasp pi.
Do you think the SSD draws too much power on the USB port?
Maybe that is the problem. I ordered a split USB3 / power cable for the SSD and will update when I got it.

The FW should be the latest:
Or did I miss something?
Was able to screenshot before it is turning off again.

Yep, that’s probably is.

It s better to use a recent firmware version, but you can use an older one, I have asked that, no to know if you are using the last one, but you can have this issue during a “bad” firmware upload, but if you don’t have updated it, can’t be the issue.
So more a power supply one.

Thank you for the hint with the firmware. I just did not get what was expected to do.
Blockage!
Today, mentally fit, the coin dropped and I did the FW upgrade.
unfortunately, the situation remains same.
For fund shring here the 3 states that I can capture inn Phoscon.
Hence, I wait for the new power splitter cable for the SSD and try my luck then.

learning about the tool. Can only post one pic per message and have to wait 30 seconds between posts :-=

So, here the 3rd state. This is continuouls alternating for some time until the “not connected” seems to sty on for ever …

Are you using an extension cable on the ssd and the Conbee?

Yes, using extension cable. conbee is about 1.5m distance to the rasp pi 4b.
SSD has distance of 50cm.
NOte: Conbee 2 was working without trouble with the SD card installation and the extension cable. At that time I did nnot use and SSD. But the SD is giving trouble and Bullseye allws now SSD boot.
Hence, time for change.
Still waiting for the new power cable for the SSD and will shre results when it arrived.

Today I received the power cable for external supply of the SSD. in combination with raspp Pi 4b.
Unfortunatly this is not changing to any better :frowning:
On off, the firmware is changing to “not connected” “000000000” or current FW level.
I tried to plug SSD in USB2 USB3.
Conbee2 in USB2 + SSD USB2
Any other idea of what I could try?
Anyone has this kind of configuration working? Conbee 2 + Rasp 4b + SSD?

Are you using this power supply?

Acually I´m using this original Raspberry Pi power supply. Plus an additional USB power supply for the SSD. I tried to use a different power supply for the SSD but no success in the long run.

After every boot the Conbee2 FW can connect. Then it cycles off and on in irregular.
now I made a new log

[Service]
User=1000
ExecStart=/usr/bin/deCONZ \
       # --dbg-info=2 --dbg-zdp=1 --dbg-zcl=1 --db-aps=1 --dbg-http=1 \
       --dbg-info=2 --dbg-zdp=1 --dbg-zcl=1 --db-aps=1 \
        -platform minimal \
        --http-port=80
StandardOutput=file:/home/pi/deCONZ-Output.log
StandardError=file:/home/pi/deCONZ-error.log

Is this the correct way without the “http”?
now I have 2 log files
Error:

QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-pi'

maybe this is of any help
Thank you

Have you a PC machine ? windows or unix ?
Just to try, install deconz on it, with the conbee, to check if you have the same issue.
To check if the issue is from the gateway or the OS/Host Hardware)

No, I´m using a raspberry pi 4b. As said the Conbee 2 was working well with the buster OS, now with the bullseye OS I have that trouble.
However, the Conbee is supposed to work with bullseye OS on Raspberry PI if not mistaken.
So, I do not think that a test of the conbee2 on other machine makes sense because I know that it is working. Even on same machine.
Only difference to working setup is the OS and the use of SSD.

It seems we are running out of ideas on how to finx my issue?
Is this a Raspi Pi 4b HW issue?

I’m unable to read the logs. Please use pastebin.

Here some piece of the log. Does that help?
Somehow using pastebin does not work when the log file is bigger. I have no subscription…
Using the link I can access the log :slight_smile:
