Xiaomi Sensors are inresponsive sometimes

Hello all,

I have some Xiaomi motion sensors do not become “detected” when there is body motion. But if I wait one minute and move, they work again. So far I have tried v2.15.0, v2.14.1, v2.13.4, it does not happen in other old versions.

Maybe this is a software bug and any sugguestions?

Regards

Maybe the sensor doens’t have a optimal parent?

Hi,

I live in a normal house and those routers and end-devices are close enough to see each other. It just happened recently.

Below circled are some of the one have issue. Also I don’t know why links between routers are so yellow, it used to be all green

Please consider a motion sensor as a sleeping end device reports motion and immediately goes back to sleep. For approx. 1 min (depending on the device) it therefore retains the status “motion” even if the initial motion was immediately terminated again. Only after this 1 min does it report the status “no movement”.

We need to look at the setup. Can you please answer these questions please.

The deCONZ and firmware versions can be found in the Phoscon App: Menu > Settings > Gateway, and also in the deCONZ GUI: Menu > Help > About deCONZ.

Also encontering below issues

  • some router devices become lost connection once in a while
  • some lights will flash for a while then lose connection when there is a momentary power on and off

Can you add some logs? Chekc #deconz on how to make them.

@ich this should be something you ask for.

Hi,

Please find the logs in the link

Can you please use pastebin?

Hi Mimiix,

the log exceeded the size limit in pastbin. Are you having issue opening the link provided above?

The log file is about 10 minutes long. How long do you need it at least?

We don’t need that much. The first part is fine. Just put in paste bin as much as you can.

Hi,

thanks! Let me try to wrap the coral with some aluminium foil.

What about the issues below? Do interference will contribute to them?

  • some router devices become lost connection once in a while
  • some lights will flash for a while then lose connection when there is a momentary power on and off

Yes. That’s correct.
