Stubborn Conbee 2 refuses to connect, broken?

Hi there,
Having a hard time getting a Conbee 2 to work. My idea was to make a Zigbee gateway with a Raspberry pi1 I still had lying around using RaspBEE. As I couldnt make any connections, I decided to test the ConBEE on my W10 laptop with DeCONZ.
Whatever I try, the ConBEE 2 refuses to be connected. It is recognised in W10 as COM3 and found as device in DeConz, but no connection.
Tried several usb ports, extender cable and powered usb extender, nothing works

I remember that I had the Conbee tested and running on my old laptop incl. pairing with a device. After that it was kept in a drawer for later use, meaning now. So I guess its not broken or anything.

Any ideas to get the ConBEE going? Should I try to flash the firmware?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Hello, If the gateway have already worked, I don’t see why it can not working after a while.
It’s not something you can “broke”

Not a driver issue ? how it look on the “device manager” (I m not sure for the name in english, but it’s the part on window setup where you can see all your devices/hardware).

And yes it’s the good device that is detected

Path | Vendor | Product | Serial | Type
-----------------+--------+---------+------------+-------
/dev/ttyACM1 | 0x1CF1 | 0x0030 | DE2212065 | ConBee II

Power issue ?

Maybe it has a different firmware on it (sniffer firmware) or the firmware is not working.
I’d suggest flashing a fresh stable firmware to the ConBee II as descibed in:
https://github.com/dresden-elektronik/deconz-rest-plugin/wiki/Update-deCONZ-manually#update-in-windows

Do you have the conbee on a 1,5 meter usb-cable. its necessary, cause they will have interference between the stick and the wlan.

Hy Smanar, I don’t think so. Same results with powered USB hub

Hi Loeschl, yes i’m using the usb extender cable that i ordered with the Conbee II

Path | Serial | Type
------------------±------------±--------------
COM3 | DE2675961 | ConBee II
PS C:\Users\a\Downloads\GCFFlasher_Win_V4_04_00\GCFFlasher_Win_V4_04_00>

looking good, right?

UPDATE: after flashing the ConBEE again, it re-appeared and functional!!
