No kernel rtc module on SD-card image

Running the raspberry-pi sd-card image provided on phoscon.de, sudo hwclock --verbose returns No usable clock interface found. After compiling the kernel module, hwclock works. Should it have worked out of the box with the provided sd-card image?

Hmm strange this should be included by default and worked in the past. We’ll have a look but takes a while the dev maintaining this part is currently in vacation.

It was deactivated in the image build process because kernel versions updated very frequently and the kernel headers that are needed to build the rtc module are updated with some delay. So that sometimes caused errors in the automatic image build process.

Thats why manual installation of the RTC module (RaspBee II Installation) is always required.

Could you add a hint in the sd-card images page that rtc requires additional steps?
