Im sitting here since yesterday to connect a Bilresa (E2489) (bought it in a pack with the Grillplats (E2491-EU) socket) to deCONZ with a Conbee II.
But nothing works.
I pressed the middle button, the LED begins to blink red, then stops blinking and turns to blink slowly yellow.
Then I press the middle button four times, the LED starts to blink fast in yellow.
Then I press the middle button 8 times, the LED switches off
Then I start searching for new devices in deCONZ.
But nothing happens. After three minutes deCONZ is telling me that thgere has not been any connection.
I tried to start the search in deCONZ first and then the Bilresa ZigBee connect, but that changes nothing.
Is there something I can do to get it to work with ZigBee other than that described above?
Or do I have to start thinking about a Thread network besides my great working ZigBee network?
I read many reports about connecting the Bilresa with ConBee II and ZigBee2MQTT or ZHA, but I didn’t found one report connecting it with deCONZ. Could this be a deCONZ problem?
deCONZ: 2.32.5 running in a Debian 13 Proxmox LXC
ConBee II: 26780700
Today I tried to connect the Grillplats socket to deCONZ/ConBee II and that worked without any problem.
I really don‘t know why the Bilresa is not working.
IDK but the procedure I m seing is not something easy …
You must go through this sequence to pair the remote:
Take off the faceplate / battery cover to find the pair button (middle)
Hold the pair button for ~10s to factory reset the remote. Red LED blinks while you hold.
Release when amber LED pulsates. Remote is now in Thread pairing mode
Move the remote away from other devices.
Press the pair button 4 times to activate Touchlink. Amber LED quickly blinks.
Remote is now trying to bind to nearby devices
Press the pair button 8 times. LEDs stay off!
Remote is now in Zigbee pairing mode
It’s important to pair this device through the coordinator!
Pairing through ‘bad’ routers (e.g. Telink Tuya, AwoX) might cause buttons not working.
This is exactly what I did and described above. I was near the ConBee II when trying to connect the Bilresa.
The Grillplats socket was two meters away when it paired without any problem.
Today I installed ZHA in Home Assistant and used the ConBee II that I am using normally for deCONZ.
What should I tell? The Bilresa paired without any problem directly to ZHA with ConBee II.
So there has to be a problem in pairing the Bilresa with deCONZ and ConBee II.
