its been some time now for me, and right now I am quite unhappy with the results I get with the conbee 2 stick. Could be that it is my setup, but that is what I want to find out.
So here is what happens:
I have a standalone server, based on a Ryzen 3 cpu, running Unraid in the version of 6.10.0 rc2 lately. Before that, it was running for the last ~2 years with 6.8.3. No issues.
On the unraid, I was using a docker version of deconz, to connect my devices (100% aqara sensors) with the phoscon web app. This has worked in the beginning, but after some undefined time, the stick lost connection and showed “not connected”. Only a reboot of the whole server (restart of docker does not work) with the conbee 2 stick being unplugged during bootup will make it work again.
Since I couldnt find a solution for that, I found that I could just use the deconz integration of Home Assistant, which is also running on the unraid server as a virtual machine. Unfortunately, it shows the exact same behaviour.
Finally, I tried the stick on my standard windows 10 gaming rig, with deconz software. It looks like it doesnt show that behaviour. I didn’t test it as long as on the linux rig, but well…
So any ideas?
btw:
it is connected to a usb 2 port. With an usb extention cable (tried two different already; true for the port and cable…)
Version is: 2.12.06 / 19.8.2021
thx for the reply. I reread my text, and found that I wrote it in a way, that it is quite easy to misunderstand it. Sorry for that.
To correct it: even with 6.8.3, the Conbee 2 stick showed the same behaviour. So not working at all.
I just wanted to say, everything else, did run fine with 6.8.3 version of unraid. I just upgraded to 6.10.0 rc2, because I was hoping that that would help in some way…which it didnt.
So any other idea?
Right now this is really unsatisfactory.
Sure, logs from unraid? Logs from the deconz docker? Or the deconz app in the Home-Assistant VM?
EDIT: nevermind, I try to get some logs of the home assistant.
EDIT: there is nothing really in the logs. But I try and start.
This shows unraid under devices:

And here the logs from the deconz app in home-assistant:

To get debug logs in a GUI installation, open deCONZ and click Help . After that, click Debug View . The following debug levels need to be enabled for proper logging: INFO , INFO_L2 , ERROR , ERROR_L2 , APS , APS_L2 .
Please note that in the HA Addon and Docker webVNC you can’t copy paste. You need to use a Native VNC Client. HA Addon How-To,
I really have no clue what the reason is here. It doesn’t seem to be able to access the Conbee. What if you try a native OS on the unraid and see if that works? Please note that your on an unsupported way
of running deCONZ so there’s not any guarantees.
To sum it up: The Conbee can’t be mounted by deconz. Perhaps there’s some configuration mismatch in unraid exposing the stick to the OS/Home assistent.
just to let you know the latest update:
I updated the firmware on the stick to 26680700. Additionally I went back to disable the deconz addon in the home assistant VM and tried to use again a deconz docker on unraid. Didnt work at first, but after I changed the docker image from “spaceinvaderone/deconz” to “marthoc/deconz:latest”. That seemed to do it.
Now it is connected without issue for the last >24h.
I’ll go on and see how stabel it is.
Thx for the help.
