Deconz - conbee 3 drains the batteries of the Tradfri / deconz - conbee 3 entleert die Batterien der Tradfri Fernbedienungen

Hi
Since I have had the conbee 3, my batteries have been draining within two to three days and I have to replace and re-learn them. Does anyone here also have this problem and possibly a solution to the problem?

Hi

I have not noticed faster draining of batteries, but have to re-pair after batteries were empty: Device don't rejoin after battery was empty Have not linked it to Connee III but to a deconz update. But who knows - I updated to Conbee III too

The problem seems to have been solved for me with the new firmware.

Hello,

I cannot confirm that this problem is fixed with the newest firmware. I used:

ConBee III with deCONZ_ConBeeIII_0x264f0900.bin.GCF
deConz 2.25.1 installed on macOS

I’m using my old ConBee II at the moment, which works better in terms of batteries.

Hi, i reopen this, because i have still the problem. After switch to conbeeII my Ikea Bottons Pust or on/off switch, remote need 2 day and the batterie is empty.

my config is - so i test - still uptodate. Run the decent in a docker on a qnap in container station. Runs perfect vor years until i switch to Conbee III. before conbee II.

I see also or think this will be one idea: the otaku process is running and i try to deactivate this. I run the script to download all ne firmware versions. And since i do this the battery run low problem comes also up - do not know.
i edit the config.ini with otauactive=0 but i still see this in the log

Try to update the Conbee III firmware you can find here:

https://deconz.dresden-elektronik.de/deconz-firmware/deCONZ_ConBeeIII_0x26530900.bin.GCF

The Instructions you can find here:

https://phoscon.de/de/conbee3/install#fwupdate

Ich würde den Stick unter Windows oder macOS manuell updaten.

Greetings from Bielefeld

Hi,

done … 26530900 but no changes.

i backup the data, reset the stick, reload the backup. no change.

still drain the battery since 1-2 days.

and not all Ikea only shurtcut botton the on/off, the Sonos Controller.

with Conbee II the batterie hold near 1 Year?!

I have near 40 Devices on the ConbeeIII. Most of them runs fine.

I have the same issue. Firmware 26530900.
It is also not working with pairing IKEA dimmer switches with light or open/close switches with roller blind when using the old webapp. But I probably should make a new topic on that…

Hi I’ll schedule a test to see whats going on between ConBee III and the Ikea switch switch in the sniffer, and compare it with ConBee II.

From the normal application logs alone it might be hard to tell but hopefully the sniffer shows more details.

As side note for myself, in my normal home setup I have the ConBee III and one of my main switches is the old round Ikea 5-button remote, at least for this device there isn’t any battery drain notable. The newer Ikea switches have a different MCU and Zigbee 3.x stack. Perhaps the newer stack end device parent polling causes trouble here.

Why ever - after 3-4 days battery change and firmware updates via OTA - no drain anymore. Stable zigged network and normal battery usage.
the only thing i do: Do firmware ConbeeIII, do OTA Updates al Ikea devices, reboot - finish.

So at the moment for me it works.
