Hi,
I would like to get the Shelly BLU TRV (SBTR-001AEU) working properly with deCONZ. I have very little experience with creating DDFs myself, so I would appreciate help with this or an existing DDF if someone has already worked on this device.
I have successfully joined the TRV to my deCONZ Zigbee network using a ConBee coordinator. Phoscon reports “Connection failed” during the pairing process, but the device actually appears in the deCONZ GUI and seems to have joined the network successfully.
deCONZ identifies endpoint 0x01 as a Home Automation / Thermostat device.
The clusters visible on endpoint 0x01 include:
- 0x0000 Basic
- 0x0001 Power Configuration
- 0x0003 Identify
- 0x0004 Groups
- 0x0005 Scenes
- 0x0201 Thermostat
- 0x0402 Temperature Measurement
- 0x0406 Occupancy Sensing
- 0xFC24 manufacturer-specific / Unknown
The standard Thermostat cluster 0x0201 is populated and readable. For example, I can see:
- Local Temperature
- Occupied Heating Setpoint
- Min/Max Heating Setpoint
- PI Heating Demand (0x0008)
The PI Heating Demand (0x0008) attribute is present as uint8, but deCONZ shows it as read-only.
This last point is particularly interesting because Shelly documents the BLU TRV as supporting two operating modes: normal temperature-based TRV control and manual valve control (%).
My main goal is therefore not only normal thermostat operation in Home Assistant, but preferably also access to the current valve position and direct 0–100% valve control. I am considering using the TRV as an actuator controlled by Home Assistant with an external room temperature sensor.
Cluster 0xFC24 is also shown by deCONZ, but its attribute list appears empty in the deCONZ GUI.
Interestingly, the same device is simultaneously discovered by Home Assistant over BTHome/Bluetooth. BTHome currently exposes temperatures, battery, RSSI and packet ID, but not the active valve control functionality.
Could someone help me create a proper DDF for this device, or point me to an existing one?
I can provide screenshots from deCONZ, Node Descriptor information, cluster/attribute information or any other diagnostics needed. The TRV is currently paired to my deCONZ network, so I can test a DDF or collect additional information from the device.
In particular, I would be very interested to find out whether Shelly’s manual valve control (%) is exposed through Zigbee, possibly through the manufacturer-specific 0xFC24 cluster.
Thanks in advance for any help!
